***The gesture recognition is dreadful*** I really enjoyed the first darklings game, and had been eagerly awaiting season two for a long, long time. Sadly, Im extremely disappointed. This game is a huge step in the wrong direction. Seems like the devs spent all this time working on the appearance of the game, and the basics fell to the wayside. Many have mentioned the "pay to win" aspect, and theyre right. Unlocking levels costs a gem, and levels lock every time you lose. So so sad, but I wont be playing this game anymore

I love the fast-paced gameplay, but its very easy to die when the game lags

Innovative and fun

I enjoyed season 1 when it first came out and was excited for this one. Unfortunately, season 2 is a complete step down from 1. For some reason, they decided to add dialogue, which, combined with the sometimes wonky English (theyre from Turkey, I think), ruins the games noir atmosphere they had going on. Its too silly for this game. They made the areas separate with a "capture the flag" process, as they put it. But after finishing 1 area, you have to spend crystals (their premium currency), to even unlock and play the next area. This whole app has been redone to try to get people to spend money. Theres too many things in the shop locked behind ludicrous amounts of crystal. Theres no way anyone could reasonably grind up that amount of crystal, so they expect us to pay for it. And somehow, their gesture recognition seems to be worse. If youre going to add more complex symbols, then make sure the recognition is up to par. Otherwise, it becomes much too frustrating in the new areas. Basically, they sacrificed the good things about this app to focus on monetization. I wish they could go back to making good games for gameplay, not making money.

This game is really cool good job I really love it

When I log on every time, are my trophies supposed to constantly reset? If so thats super annoying because I have to build up my rank again and again. Also, the game is very strict on the gesture because sometimes when a darkling is close, I do the correct gesture and it wont go through and I die.

Beautiful graphics, along with an interesting art style, and unique gameplay mechanics!

I must say this is a very cute simple game but theres flaws such as if you get it the tutorial is useless I didnt even know how to play

Well it seems cool but annoying. It will become hard later on in the game to recognize all these patterns. Also there is a glitch in tutorial were you swipe but nothing happens.

Game at best is par, spells are too confusing and storyline is not that great

Ive really enjoyed this game and want to rate 5 stars but the game: -freezes up more often than not, -trophy rating resets every time you close the app -cant log back into account after trying to fix bugs by reinstalling the app

I really like this game, to where I purchased the special with the reaper free revive and 1200 crystals for $1.99. The thing is, it froze on the menu and I had to close it. When I restarted, I clicked on get the special, it said I already purchased it, but still no gems. And my card has been charged. I would certainly like this fixed please Once it is, Ill definitely give it a five star

Good game, unfortunately they decided to ruin it with full screen pop up ads.

Its a fun game to play while in the subway or waiting. Gets pretty repetitive but I still enjoy playing.

This version is better than the first version which was much more repetitive but I have 2 gripes. 1. Can the relay time get any slower? Finishing a game and exiting out or entering into a game or even the dialogue with the bosses take forever! There isnt even an option to skip the bosss speech even though its the same speech ever level 2. Once you start unlocking new species, some of them are impossible to draw, not in terms of difficulty, but the in terms of getting the game to accept it as an answer. Ive started skipping some of the places because there are symbols that no matter how quickly or in what manner I draw them, never seem to be acceptable. I wish there was a tutorial for how they want us to draw some of the symbols if thats the case

I love the original Darklings better than part 2, got to admit because of the lovely main music, & beautiful intro it shows!
